Objectives
We see the Church in Bendigo as one body with many parts united in prayer to see God’s purposes accomplished in Bendigo.
We see this being achieved through:
- Building bridges between different expressions of the faith.
- Developing relationships between the ministers of every congregation for mutual support and edification.
- Praying regularly for each other and for the city.
- The Church taking its God-given role in relation to the governing authorities of the city.
- Demonstrating unity as a functional and practical reality through acceptance and mutual respect and so honouring each other in love.
- Seeing peaceful and harmonious relationships established at all levels through the city.
- Being open to the Holy Spirit continuing to unfold this vision.
Our basis of unity is our common acceptance of Jesus Christ as the only way of reconciling man to God.
